DEVELOPER
Scott Allan · Allan Development Group
Scott Allan describes approximately 5,500 square feet of open, air-conditioned ManCave space. The project is under construction, with completion expected in 2026. Areas are approximate and reflect the evolving project description rather than a final measured floor plan.
Oversized space for cars, boats & recreational vehicles
The garage is conceived as a flexible open environment with 18-foot ceilings, oversized garage doors described at approximately 16 feet, and an epoxy floor. The generous scale creates room for vehicles, recreational equipment and a variety of owner interests.
A mezzanine adds another dimension to the space, while the ground-floor arrangement incorporates a showcase-car area and a workbench zone for tools and projects. Air conditioning makes the garage a usable recreational environment as well as a place to keep valued possessions.
Living space & a full kitchen
The residential portion includes a full kitchen, sleeping accommodation and wardrobe storage. Earlier planning described the living area at approximately 1,000 square feet; its final dimensions remain subject to the completed layout.
The kitchen concept includes natural-wood cabinetry, space for a refrigerator and a 24-inch window above the sink. A king-size Murphy bed provides sleeping accommodation that can be folded away, supporting a practical and adaptable use of the living space.
A bar, lounge & personal finishing details
The entertaining area includes a bar-height counter, couch and television zone, and a slatted LED feature wall. Custom mahogany countertops draw on the warm natural-wood character associated with classic Chris-Craft boats.
These details connect the garage’s practical purpose with the atmosphere of a personal retreat. The intended result is a place to enjoy a collection, work on a project or spend time with friends in a setting shaped around the owner’s interests.
Room for hobbies & recreation
Scott’s ideas for the open space include cars, boats, RVs, arcade games, video games and table tennis. Pickleball and half-court basketball were also discussed as possible recreational uses of the generous floor area.
These are potential ways to configure the space, rather than a list of installed amenities. The final arrangement depends on the owner’s priorities, clearances and the completed design.
Scott Allan’s custom ManCave House approach
This project extends ADG’s ManCave experience into a residential format: an oversized functional garage connected to everyday living accommodation. It illustrates a custom approach to real estate for people whose vehicles, collections and interests call for more space than a conventional home garage provides.
The Fort Myers house is the current build within the portfolio. The separately planned 2027 ManCave House represents a future concept and has its own project page.
