La Ola — Fort Myers Beach

A complete restaurant-and-bar rebuild following Hurricane Ian, completed in 2023. La Ola’s Fort Myers Beach project combines a shipping-container bar, open-air dining and a large terrace.

Rebuilding after Hurricane Ian

Hurricane Ian destroyed La Ola’s original restaurant in the Times Square area of Fort Myers Beach. The 2023 project created a new setting for the restaurant’s return, bringing its relaxed beach atmosphere back to the waterfront community.

A complete restaurant-and-bar project

Scott Allan and Allan Development Group’s project encompassed the full rebuild of the restaurant, including the interior works. The completed concept combines an adapted shipping-container bar with open-air hospitality spaces and a substantial outdoor terrace.

Designed around outdoor gathering

The large terrace is central to the experience, providing space for dining, drinks and gathering in an open-air coastal setting. The project reflects a practical response to rebuilding after the storm while preserving La Ola’s informal restaurant-and-bar character.
